RSM International appoints new Chairman to drive global growth

RSM International, a top ten global accounting, tax and consulting network, has announced the appointment of Brian Eaton as the new Chairman of the International Board of Directors. Eaton has been appointed to lead the Board in providing strategic guidance on the overall governance of the network, the provision of services by its member firms, and to continue the network’s consistent growth in international markets.
Commenting on his new appointment, Eaton said: “I am very excited about taking on this new role. RSM International has a strong quality ethos that is evident throughout the network, from the Board of Directors, the regional and technical committees, right down to the staff within the network’s member firms throughout the world. Eaton joined RSM Betty & Dickson, RSM International’s South African member firm, in 1973 and has been the Managing Partner of the Johannesburg office since 1995. Eaton is a member of several regulatory authorities and institutes in South Africa, including the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), The Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA), the Institute of the Association of Authorised Public Accountants and the Institute of Directors and has served on a number of professional committees. He is a member of RSM International’s Board of Directors, has served on the RSM International Policy Committee and is the Regional Director for Africa.
As well as his leadership role at RSM Betty & Dickson, Eaton also continues to have a hands-on role advising clients consulting on audit, tax, merger acquisitions and corporate restructuring.

Eaton's appointment coincides with the RSM Betty & Dickson's 70th birthday this month, a firm which has over the years served a diverse range of clients ranging from large international corporations to SMEs. RSM International's presence in South Africa covers Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Tshwane.
