RSM International, one of the world’s largest accounting, tax and consulting networks, is delighted to be sponsoring The McGladrey Classic, for the second consecutive year. The McGladrey Classic is a PGA TOUR event held from 10-16 October, at the Seaside Course on St. Simons Island, Georgia. In particular, the global network is sponsoring the warm-up event, where amateurs are invited to play alongside the professionals, the RSM International ProAm, being held on Wednesday 12 October.
The McGladrey Classic, an official PGA Tour event, is named after title sponsor McGladrey, the brand under which RSM International’s U.S. member firms RSM McGladrey, Inc. and McGladrey & Pullen LLP, operate as the nation’s fifth largest provider of assurance, tax and consulting services. It is hosted by the Davis Love Foundation, which is a children’s charity established by PGA TOUR Professional Golfer and 2012 Ryder Cup Captain Davis Love III.
Jean Stephens, CEO of RSM International, said: “RSM member firms worldwide constantly strive to deliver outstanding solutions and results for their clients – nothing but the best possible client service will do. This is the core of RSM and our vision and values mirror the attributes of the participants of The McGladrey Classic, who are also pursuing excellence to be at the top of their game. We are delighted to be the official sponsors of the RSM International ProAM and wish all participants the very best of luck."
Davis Love III, tournament host and Team McGladrey Member, said: “The Davis Love Foundation is proud that a prestigious global organisation like RSM International has chosen to continue its involvement with The McGladrey Classic. Working together with our partners and sponsors on a world-class PGA TOUR event will enable us to make significant contributions to charities that provide critical services to children and families. We are delighted that RSM International shares our passion for and dedication to this significant cause.”
More than 20,000 people attended last year’s inaugural event and millions tuned into coverage on The Golf Channel. The event this will also include aerial coverage.
